Install "Intel Corp. PRO/Wireless 2200BG (rev 05)" di kernel 2.6.12

Ini tulisan kedua di Blog. Ngelanjutin tulisan sebelumnya. Setelah baca README & INSTALL nya, terus dicoba install (sering gagal/ error), setelah Wi-Fi berfungsi & connect ke Internet, intinya (kurang lebih) kayak gini:

1.Download source ipw2200-1.0.4.tgz
:/usr/src# wget -c [url file ipw2200-1.0.4.tgz]

2.Download source ipw2200-fw-2.3.tgz
:/usr/lib/hotplug/firmware# wget -c [url file ipw2200-fw-2.3.tgz]

3.Ekstrak file ipw2200-1.0.4.tgz
:/usr/src# tar -xvvzf ipw2200-1.0.4.tgz

4.Ekstrak file ipw2200-fw-2.3.tgz
:/usr/lib/hotplug/firmware# tar -xvvzf ipw2200-fw-2.3.tgz

5.Download patch ieee80211-2.6.12.patch
:/usr/src/ipw2200-1.0.4# wget -c [url file ieee80211-2.6.12.patch]

6.Lakukan patch
:/usr/src/ipw2200-1.0.4# patch -p1 < ieee80211-2.6.12.patch

7.Karena sebelumnya beberapa modules belum di include ke kernel (hanya modules [M]), maka tambahkan ke kernel beberapa modules seperti: aes-i586, crc32c, michael_mic, libcrc32c, ieee80211_crypt, ieee80211_crypt_wep, ieee80211 & ipw2200.
:/usr/src/ipw2200-1.0.4# modconf

8.Lakukan Instalasi
:/usr/src/ipw2200-1.0.4# make
:/usr/src/ipw2200-1.0.4# make install

9.Tambahkan module ipw2200 ke kernel
:/usr/src/ipw2200-1.0.4# modprobe ipw2200

10. Load drivernya
:/usr/src/ipw2200-1.0.4# ./load

11. Wi-fi sudah dikenali
:/usr/src/ipw2200-1.0.4# iwconfig

12. Setting konfigurasi network intefaces
:/etc/network# vim interfaces

13. Tulis, isi & save file interfaces
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth1
iface eth1 inet dhcp

wireless-essid diisi essid hot spot atau acces point
wireless-key s:diisi essid key nya

14. Restart networking
:~# /etc/init.d/networking stop
:~# /etc/init.d/networking start

15. Terhubung ke Internet
